Algorithm:
It is the set of principles used by search engines to determine the ranking of indexed websites in response to a particular keyword query. Every search engine has different algorithm and standards of working. Each website has to follow these principles and standards in order to rank well.
Anchor Text:
A keyword or a key phrase hyperlinked is known as anchor text. It is one of the search engine ranking factors. Major search engines like Google pay a lot weight to anchor text.

Back Links:
Back Links, also known as inbound links, are those links pointing towards a specific web site. Suppose Site A links to Site B, now link from site A to B will be called back link or inbound link.
Banned:
The web pages removed from search engine listing database are called banned by search engines. Mostly it happens when unfair means like cloaking or spamming or black hat techniques are used in web sites. This is against the rules of search engines so they banned such web pages or sites.

Cloaking:
It is a technique in which different content is presented to search engines for index and when a user visit this web page, he finds out different content for which he is not searching for.
Conversion:
The process in which a web page visitor turns into customer is known as conversion.

Doorway Pages:
A web page containing only a link which again leads to another page containing another link is known as doorway pages. Search engines dislike such pages and ban them immediately.
